This sculpture depicts an original character, Jourganai III, who is the protagonist of a short story I wrote. In the story, this character learns to face his selfish habits and start looking out for the needs of others, instead. He begins as a winged centaur, but after some of the trials he goes through, he loses two legs and his ability to fly. This sculpture shows the renewed Jourganai, confident and at ease, holding aloft a lantern that he received as a gift along his journeys.
